16 February by Daniel Propp

AFROTC Award Recipient (Alabama 20180216)

We would like to congratulate brother Charley Lewis for his outstanding achievements! Charley is currently enrolled in the Air Force ROTC program at The University of Alabama and had the honor of being the Salute of the Game along with fellow cadet Leili Haririan during the Alabama Basketball Game on February 13th. They were recognized for their dedication and commitment to the ROTC program. Last semester, Charley was named AFROTC GMC Cadet Of The Semester as well as Arnold Air Society Cadet of the Semester. He also received the Physical Fitness Excellence Award and the AFROTC Commendation Award. Charley hopes to become a Combat Rescue Officer after he commissions. He mentioned that he chose the Air Force because, “there is no other branch that has this career field where you have the opportunity to save lives like pararescue.” Congratulations Charley!
