Brother Tedford Selected for Blackburn Institute (Alabama 20170228)

Congratulations to Brother Matthew Tedford ('15) for being selected to the 2017 Class of the Blackburn Institute! The Blackburn Institute seeks to develop a network of diverse leaders who understand the challenges facing the state of Alabama and who are committed to serving as agents of positive change. The Blackburn Institute is named in honor of Dr. John L. Blackburn. A nationally renowned leader in higher education, Dr. Blackburn served as dean of students at The University of Alabama and was instrumental in the University’s peaceful integration. In 1994, The University of Alabama’s Division of Student Affairs formed the Institute to foster Dr. Blackburn’s belief that people link strategic actions through the generations for progressive and ethical change. Brother Tedford joins current Blackburn students and fellow ATOs Carson Ford ('16), Patrick Fitzgerald ('15), Rob Grady ('14), and John Wilson Booth ('14), as well as alumni Parker Alison ('13), Peter Inge ('12), Hayden Gunter ('11), Marlan Golden ('11) and many more before.
