“Extra Life” Philanthropy Event Raises Over $1000

This fall semester, the Epsilon Delta chapter at NDSU participated in Extra Life Day 2021 on November 6th. Extra Life is a campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in which participants are to play games for 24 hours (if they are able) in order to raise donations from friends and family. The ED chapter most recently participated in the fall of 2019 with over $1000 raised. This semester, however, the chapter beat the 2019 fundraising total with $1,300 raised this time around. The following were among the list of games played in the 24 hours: Minecraft, Madden, Call of Duty, Mario/Mario Kart, Guitar Hero, and even Pinball. Although Extra-Life is a more casual philanthropy event, it still leaves a positive impact on the local community. All of the proceeds of this year event are going to the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo.
