Greek Week!
Oregon State - Alpha Sigma
By Benjamin Hubertus May 24, 2017
Last week the brothers of the Alpha Sigma chapter were able to participate in Oregon State University's annual Greek Week hosted by OSU's Interfraternity Council (IFC) and Panhellenic. Our chapter was partnered with Delta Delta Delta and Phi Delta Theta to represent team Hades, as the theme for this years greek week was Ancient Greek games! The week kicked off on Wednesday with the brothers participating in a dodgeball tournament where we dodge, ducked, and had a blast playing against other fraternities. Then on Thursday team Hades claimed fourth place in the Greek Games tug-o-war with the help of our partners! The week wrapped up on Friday with Relay For Life where the brothers were proud to help raise awareness and money for a cure for cancer. We were even fortunate enough to have Brother Alex Yun of the Beta Kappa chapter at Hillsdale College pay us a visit while he was in town! He is pictured wearing a black t-shirt and holding the Tau amongst members of the Alpha Sigma chapter at our Relay for Life table. It was an amazing experience to be able to connect with a brother from another chapter and share experiences! Finally, on Saturday the OSU all greek picture was taken on the steps of our Memorial Union followed by a all greek block party hosted by IFC and Panhellenic in front of our chapter house. At the block party the brothers got a chance to race on obstacle courses, enjoy popular local food, and meet other members of the greek community at OSU. Overall, the week was an incredible experience and there never was a dull moment for the brothers of the Alpha Sigma chapter. We are super excited for next years Greek Week!
