"I Have a Stake in Supporting Survivors"
William & Mary - Kappa Kappa
By Tom O'Connor Apr 21, 2018
On April 15th, the Kappa Kappa chapter hosted a fundraising event for RAINN (the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) to help combat the disturbing issue of sexual assault. The fundraiser saw students at William and Mary donate $3 to buy a stake flag that would be placed at the center of campus; the 2,000 flags that were eventually laid (proportionally representing the 350,000 sexual assault survivors each year) provided a strong visual for our campus to reflect upon. This event offered education, empowerment, and awareness for the entire community.
