Meet the 2023 Kappa Kappa Secretary

Next in our 2023 executive board introductions is our new secretary, Yarik Poznyak. Yarik is a CAMS major on the math and biology track, and currently lives in Montgomery, New Jersey. Outside of the fraternity, Yarik is currently doing research as a part of Dr. Forsyth H. Pylori’s lab. When asked why he wanted to serve as secretary, Yarik said, “I was proud to be a part of ATO and wanted to have a larger role in helping shape the organization’s future by helping run it. Being an immigrant from Ukraine, I’ve lived far from a lot of my family for most of my life, and by joining ATO I found a sense of belonging around like-minded people that I consider a second family. I wanted to help foster similar connections between new members, which I hope to achieve as secretary. I specifically ran for secretary as I wanted to get my foot in the door of running an organization, strongly believe in maintaining the rules of the fraternity, and understand the importance of keeping a record of important events for the fraternity.” Being a member of the fall ‘22 pledge class, we’re so happy to see freshman brothers like Yarik getting involved with leadership roles in ATO!
