On Thursday, February 18, our chapter sent two teams of five guys to the RAMS Cornhole Tournament. For those who are unaware, RAMS, which stands for “Rockin’ Against Multiple Sclerosis”, is a student-run philanthropy organization that strives to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis and provide support and service to the Multiple Sclerosis Institute of Mid-Missouri. Throughout the month of February, Mizzou RAMS has been hosting events to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis. 10 of our ATO brothers volunteered for this cornhole event, which took place at Bur Oak Brewing Company, which is only about a 15 minute drive from Mizzou’s campus. Hunter Kowalski, Noah Gerdes, Jake Timmerman, Andrew O’Bryan, and Mickey Setteducate were the five guys that represented Team 1 for ATO and they were at the brewery playing cornhole from 7:15 pm until 9:00 pm. Shortly after Team 1’s shift ended, Team 2, which was composed of Zachary Vehige, Patrick Yale, Collin Leach, Tommy Duchild, and Tommy Emms, competed in the cornhole tournament from 9:15 pm until 11:00 pm and they are shown in the picture above. Both of our ATO teams got 3rd place and, overall, all of the guys had a lot of fun. Our chapter certainly knows how to have fun, but we also know the importance of philanthropy and community service to those in need, and events like this cornhole tournament allow us to have fun while contributing to the community.
