Women In Science Campaign

Maine - Beta Upsilon

By Samuel Borer Apr 1, 2016

For the month of April, our Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega has teamed up with the Society of Women Engineers to bring you the Women In Science Campaign. Women have made amazing strides in science, shaping the world into a better place for all. The past few years have seen an unprecedented rate of women earning Ph.D.’s, yet there are still many obstacles women must face when pursuing STEM or thinking about pursuing STEM. For this month, ATO and SWE want to highlight some of the unbelievable women we have right here at UMaine. Who better to start with than our first female president, Dr. Susan Hunter. Listen to her amazing story and advice, and stay tuned for more Women In Science!
