The brothers gave back to the community by participating in Detroit Partnership day and cleaning up our city's parks 

The Beta Lambda chapter invited our alumni to return to the house before Michigan's homecoming game against Illinois. There were burgers and hot dogs to eat along with other refreshments. It was great to connect with our alumni and hear stories of their time in the Beta Lambda chapter! 

This past weekend the brothers of Beta Lambda volunteered at the Michigan Urban Farming Initiative, which uses vacant land plots in Detroit for community-supported agriculture. 

On September eighth the brothers of the Beta Lambda chapter set up a booth on the Michigan diag asking for donations to Chad Tough, an organization that raises money to fight Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. This rare brain cancer is the leading cause of death from brain tumors in children.…

After the success of last year's brotherhood competition, the Beta Lambda chapter had its second brotherhood draft. This is the second semester where our chapter will be divided into teams to earn points through competitions, event attendance, and social service. 

The Beta Lambda chapter held its second Annual Chili for Charity to benefit AVID. Brothers and members of several other campus organizations cooked chili so that the attendees could vote on their favorite. This year's Chili for Charity raised close to two thousand dollars!
