Blackburn Institute

Congratulations to Brother Pruett Singleton as Brother of the Week and being chosen for the Blackburn Institute. The Blackburn Institute is a group of select UA students dedicated to serving the people of Alabama and being agents of positive change. The program revolves around improving the state of Alabama and developing the leaders of tomorrow. Pruett was one of the few among hundreds of applicants to be selected for this group and his desire to serve others is evident. He mentioned that, “Throughout my senior year of high school, I developed a passion for healthcare within the state of Alabama, and I hope to serve within the institute to bring a voice with those who do not have reasonable access to medical care. I'm incredibly honored to have been selected for such a prestigious program, and I cannot wait to get to work.” It has been a long standing tradition to have ATO involved with the Blackburn Institute, as we have placed at least one member into the institute for 9 out of the past 10 years! We are proud of Pruett for carrying on this tradition!
