Brother Bret Lentz travels to the Bahamas to study situational leadership (Drake 20170317)

For my January experience this year I had the amazing opportunity to travel to the Bahamas in Drake’s Leadership at Sea course. Since this was a leadership course, a lot of the focus was on becoming better leaders and followers in a unique situation. In this case, the situation was learning how to sail the Liberty Clipper, a 120-foot schooner in the Caribbean Ocean. However, before we set sail, we spent a week in Nassau with various leaders of the Bahamas. Their personal experience always generated some interesting conversation as we tried to learn more about their beautiful country. Learning to sail may have been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in a week. Thankfully, with the help of the crew and my classmates, I was able to hold my own and experience the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. I can honestly say that we had a unique adventure that could not be replicated even if we tried.
