Brother Jack Schwartz works as Research Assistant to Fight Alzheimer’s Disease (Auburn 20181126)

As an Undergraduate Research Fellow, Brother Jack Schwartz (Fall ‘16) and the Drug and Discovery Department of the Pharmacy School have recently come across a discovery that oleocanthal, a natural compound found in olive oil, is a preventative compound for Alzheimer’s disease. Brother Jack Schwartz has now expanded onto his own project of using Ketone Bodies as a therapeutic for Alzheimer’s disease. As a research ambassador for the pharmacy school, Brother Jack Schwartz not only is providing valuable information to the medical field, but is also encouraging others to do so, and for that we are incredibly thankful for him and his many accomplishments.
