Brother Marshall Williams ('16) Receives Tesla Intership (Alabama 20171016)

Congratulations to Brother Marshall Williams (‘16) on receiving a summer internship with Tesla! Williams will be working on powertrain manufacturing for Tesla Models S and X. “It’s still not real. I’m about to spend 3 months in California working for my dream company,” said Williams. Williams has done a number of things in an effort to get this internship. This past summer, he worked in Kansas City for Magna-Plus, a supplier of Ford. Williams was responsible for maximizing efficiency along the company’s production line. “That internship was huge. The production experience was invaluable,” said Williams. He is also a leader on campus with EcoCar3, a competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and GM in which teams redesign a Chevrolet Camaro into a hybrid-electric car that will reduce environmental impact, while maintaining the muscle and performance expected from this iconic American car. We are extremely excited for Brother Williams as he continues to follow his passion for automotive engineering!
