By Jack Waters Mar 21, 2018
The men of Missouri's Gamma Rho chapter celebrated a 4-2 victory over the men of PI Kappa Alpha in their annual hockey game. The event, Slapshot for Cancer, is an event put on every year by College Charities, with the proceeds going towards Camp Kesem and the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. Camp Kesem is " a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. We are the largest national organization dedicated to this unique population – supporting children with innovative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community." The Ellis Fischel Cancer obtains a "team of physician specialists and other trained professionals work together with a common goal: to provide the latest cancer treatments and improve quality of life for thousands of people each year." Congrats to Gamma Rho for both winning the game, and supporting a great cause.
