Samford - Kappa Rho

Gym MØB

Kappa Rho has developed many official and unofficial ways to keep brothers involved and thriving. One of those many “unofficial” routes for Samford brothers to thrive mentally, socially, and physically is through “Gym Mob.” Ian Lansing, founding member of Gym Mob and recently graduated brother shares his thoughts on the tradition he started: “Gym Mob was founded shortly after our return to campus following the covid shutdown. Myself [Ian Lansing] and about five other brothers went to the gym together to avoid the solitude of the restriction placed by the campus, and found it was a great way to grow physically and mentally and alleviate stress and anxiety. We loved it so much we continued to bring brothers on board and grew it to what it is today–a group of roughly 100 active and alumni brothers who are dedicated to physical and mental wellness. It’s a staple of our chapter’s identity and something we’re known for throughout campus. It is one of my favorite things about Kappa Rho, and whether I’m at the campus gym or one of the many gyms nearby, it always makes me smile to see my brothers lifting together and repping our new merch.”
