Hansen Awarded High Honors and Contemplates a PBA Run (Auburn 20181210)

This fall, Brother Brent Hansen (PC ‘17) enrolled in the bowling class at Auburn University with good intentions, to strengthen friendships with his pledge brothers and fellow Auburn students. Little did Hansen know, he had a knack for the sport. Not only did he surprise himself, he surprised his entire class by getting the highest scoring honors. Fellow classmate and PC ‘17 member, Reed McMahon, said of Hansen, “Brent not only shocked us, but humbled us each day in class. His ability to improve his stroke each week was what set him apart from the rest of us.” Hansen, a proud native of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, is notable for being an Auburn 247 insider and claims to have elite knowledge and insight of the athletic program. When asked if a Professional Bowlers Association run was in his future, Hansen responded, “It was fun, but I’m a leisure bowler. I wouldn’t rule it out, but I enjoyed bowling each day with guys in my pledge class as well as older guys.” Auburn offers many great physical education programs, and the Taus are asking, “Who could be the next great athlete to emerge?”
