Winter Wonderland – ATO Gamma Sigma
Worcester Poly - Gamma Sigma
By Matthew Neuffer Mar 30, 2023
In the winter, the weather is cold, dark, and gloomy, and it can be difficult to connect as a community. We created the ATO Winter Wonderland to solve these issues and bring a bright, fun day to the campus. The event consisted of an ice rink on the quad, a fun winter-themed photo booth, music playing all throughout the quad, and a variety of free food and beverages for the entire community. Overall, this event brought the community together for an event on the quad, while providing a fun and seasonal experience. The ATO winter wonderland was the result of months of planning and work. After being awarded a $30,000 budget from our student government, to bring an ice rink to the center of campus, the Gamma Sigma chapter set out to bring the event to life and make it a success. The event was held on February 18th. We had a large turnout from the entire WPI community. Giving out 500 waffles, 600 grilled cheeses, and 20 gallons of hot chocolate. We look forward to holding more large events on our campus in the future.
