Altitude Returns to Challenge the Next Generation of ATO Leaders
By Alpha Tau Omega Aug 6, 2026

After six years, Altitude has returned to Alpha Tau Omega.
First introduced as a transformational leadership experience, Altitude was created to develop undergraduate brothers through challenge, reflection, and adventure in the Colorado Rockies. The program pushes participants beyond their comfort zones, combining backcountry expeditions with leadership development, teamwork, and personal growth.
While the scenery is unforgettable, the true purpose of Altitude has always been preparing men to lead. Every hike, obstacle, and conversation is designed to build resilience, strengthen character, and reinforce the values that define Alpha Tau Omega.
Although the program concluded after its 2019 session, its impact never faded. This year marks the beginning of a new chapter as brothers once again have the opportunity to experience one of the Fraternity’s most unique leadership programs.
As Altitude returns, so does its mission: developing leaders who will leave the mountains with a renewed sense of purpose and return to their chapters ready to elevate those around them.
