Ball State Alumni, Family, & Friends Race to 11 Podiums at Eighteen Sixty-5K Congratulations to Ball State alumnus Joe Kahre winning 1st overall at the ATO Eighteen Sixty 5K held on Saturday, August 8, 2015. 2nd overall was earned by Ball State alumnus Doug Bruce’s son Evan who just began his freshman year at Ole Miss. Ball State Brothers Todd Stallings, Matt Smith, Sean Smith and 4 women affiliated with Ball State earned age group podiums, including Kappa Delta alumnae and Ball State Student Life Director Kari Murphy. The children of Brother Brian Gentrup also won their age groups. The 5K run held at Garfield Park in Indianapolis was part of ATO’s 150th celebration weekend.
