Brother Completes REU Program (Washington & Jefferson 20171008)

Brother Jordan Hosfelt took part in an NSF REU program in chemical biology this summer at New York University. While there, he studied the structure of mutant forms of the membrane protein FGFR kinase. These studies may help to shed light on the mechanisms behind drug resistance and up-regulation of these cancer-causing mutant proteins in humans.
