Brothers Go 24 Hours For Service
Ball State - Theta Alpha
By Malik Ojuri Apr 19, 2017
The Student Action Team (SAT) at Ball State recently had their annual event, 24 Hours of Service. Brothers Borges, Destry, Matteucci, and Ojuri participated in multiple events across the Muncie community to help SAT reach their participant goal. The chapter was one of the most heavily involved Greek chapters this year, participating in various tasks and accumulating more than 60+ hours of service. This year, the brothers spent hours cleaning and organizing a local teacher's store that focuses on donating school supplies to teachers in need. Last year, the store donated $10,000 worth of supplies to Muncie public schools. With the help of volunteers, they are able to keep track of their inventory. This year, they gained government funding and are looking to quadruple their donations. Destry and Ojuri, junior and senior respectively, are returning volunteers for the event. Destry stated that he likes to volunteer for SAT in the Muncie community because it allows him to connect with the local community and make a difference. Keep up the work, guys!
