By Malik Ojuri Apr 19, 2017
This year, the service sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) hosted their annual philanthropy called Random Acts of Kindness, known commonly as the RAK challenge. Brothers Aravindan, Ojuri, Roth, Sherrill and Thompson participated and collected to be known as Team Tau Time. The brothers dominated the Greek bracket by racking up more than 3000 points. The RAK challenge is a philanthropy that focuses on the collegiate community's engagement with the local community. The brothers did various tasks for the fire department, local donation centers, the hospital, local restaurants and a few other Muncie establishments. Besides from donating time, the brothers made strong connections around the community for future ventures. Brother Sherrill, a junior video production major, was elected to be their sweetheart. With this title, he receives the honor of representing these ladies in their philanthropic events. He went on to say that he appreciates ESA because they push him to be a more involved man. As he juggles being ESA's sweetheart and the chapter's chaplain, he leads the way on taking campus involvement to the next level.
