Brothers Speak on Diversity
Ball State - Theta Alpha
By Malik Ojuri Apr 19, 2017
Student Government Association (SGA) recently held a Diversity Commission Roundtable for all of the campus leaders. This event called out to all students to set the agenda for diversity in the coming year for the University. Brothers Borges and Ojuri actively participated in the seminar. This was the first year SGA had the event and it was effective through the student leadership in attendance. Brother Borges, a freshman telecommunications major, is also a senator for SGA. He wrote legislation for many changes on campus and plans on running the campus one day. When asked why he joined the fraternity and SGA so quickly, he said that he knew he could make a difference with the right organizations. Brother Ojuri, a senior sales major, has now given up his former positions on SGA. They both agreed that having conversations with the thought leaders is the best way to push for a better culture. Keep up the work!
