Brother Ryan completed the Flight and Operations Medical Technician school at Wright Patterson AFB, OH, which is a medic specialization. Then he was chosen to be apart of and completed the Air National Guard's first ever Medic to Laboratory Technician Course, at the National Guard Professional Education Center in Little Rock AR. Later he was assigned as the sole medic in support of Operation Silver Arrow, which was headed out of Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany. He was there specifically as the missions medic in the event of any on or off duty injuries or medical emergencies to any of the 123rd Airlift Wings (KyANG) members and secondarily as backup to help maintain the medical readiness of the 86th Airlift Wing Flight Crew members and Operators. Ryan is the most qualified medic in the air Kentucky air national guard. During his summer travels he went from Canada, Iceland, Scotland, Germany and France. And saw the US National Guard Memorial on Omaha Beach in Normandy and the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.
