Marietta ATO Keeps Moving for Multiple Sclerosis Research

Marietta ATO Keeps Moving for Multiple Sclerosis Research

The Alpha Tau Omega chapter at Marietta College is continuing a meaningful tradition by bringing its campus community together to raise awareness and support research for multiple sclerosis (MS).

During homecoming week, the chapter set up two stationary bikes in the center of campus and committed to keeping them moving 24 hours a day for seven consecutive days. Brothers took shifts around the clock, including overnight “graveyard shifts,” to ensure the ride never stopped.

Inspired by their chapter adviser’s personal connection to MS, the event has become a defining tradition for Marietta ATO. Members also invite students, faculty, and other campus organizations to participate, turning the weeklong ride into a broader effort to educate others and encourage involvement in the cause.

After raising nearly $1,000 the previous year, the chapter set its sights on exceeding that total in 2026 while reaching more people with its message. Through their dedication, Marietta brothers are demonstrating how a chapter tradition can unite a campus around a cause that matters.
