These Hands Don’t Haze
Maine - Beta Upsilon

There are so many things that make me proud to be an ATO! I’m proud to have a brotherhood so sincerely based in love and respect. I’m proud of all research, leadership, and service my brothers do on campus, but above all else right now, I’m proud to say these hands don’t haze. We take that very seriously at ATO Beta Upsilon. To me, it’s curious that potential new members occasionally act surprised when we tell them we don’t haze. Perhaps their perceptions of Greek-life come from movies, or perhaps their parent’s told them stories of “back when I was in college.” Whatever the reason, I can say with unequivocal certainty that our brotherhood THRIVES on friendships that transcend pledge classes! Hazing only breeds resentment and toxicity, and I’m proud it has no place in our family.
