Virginia Tech - Theta Delta Chapter - Virtual Philanthropy

Our chapter is proud to partner with the Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley to raise money and awareness for victims of sexual and domestic violence in our community. Recently, the Theta Delta chapter hosted our annual event, Tau Fest, where we were able to raise thousands of dollars from a number of events throughout the week. In accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, we hosted our main event virtually, which included a few hours of fun and an opportunity for those in attendance to learn more about the Women’s Resource Center. The day’s festivities were headlined by an entertaining hotdog eating contest, where brother Zach Hattab took home the crown in impressive fashion. A special shoutout is in order for brothers John King and Tanner Uffelman, who did an excellent job planning and organizing the week’s events in the presence of unique circumstances caused by the pandemic. Our chapter is very appreciative of the generosity of everyone who helped us raise money for this great cause.
