Louisville Colony participates in the Ford EcoBoost Challenge

Sep 19, 2011

Jason Falls, CEO of Social Media Explorer LLC, was one of 8 challengers selected by Ford to participated in the Ford F-150 EcoBoost Challenge. The competition was set for the participants to get the best gas mileage out of their EcoBoost F-150 while also performing community service.

The EcoBoost’s excellent fuel mileage wasn’t the only factor helping Jason compete, though. The local University of Louisville Alpha Tau Omega colony came out to help support as well.

Hear Jason in his own words about the UofL ATOs:

The Louisville chapter of Alpha Tau Omega was a godsend for me and for the Ford F-150 EcoBoost Challenge.

As the community service part of that event, I had one week to organize a charitable community project and chose to help clean up a park in Louisville.

Thanks to it being the last weekend before Labor Day, the first college football weekend an all the other goings on, our turnout for the event was bad. But the Olmsted Parks Conservancy told us that ATO was going to be in action that morning at a nearby park.

We called and asked ATO to be a part of our event and moved our clean up to Stansbury Park where they were scheduled to work.

Thanks to them, we had a great turnout and did some community good together.

While I probably would have needed all ATO brothers from around the country there to have the head count turn the contest in Louisville’s favor, we’ll always appreciate the brotherhood of ATO for allowing us to be a part of their cleanup, while being a part of ours.
