GRAND VALLEY STATE (Kappa Lambda)–More than a dozen local fraternity brothers are Paying it Forward starting Thursday, by walking from Allendale to Traverse City over the next several days.

15 members of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at Grand Valley State University are giving up their Spring break for the journey. They’re calling it ‘ATO Walks Hard: Many Steps for MS’. They will be leaving Allendale on Thursday, February 28, and arriving at their destination in Traverse City on March 6. The majority of their walk will be on the White Pine Trail, and they’ll be sleeping at local churches along the way.

Their goal is to raise $15,000 in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. As of Thursday morning, they have already raised $12,541 — before they had even left for their walk.
