Wilkison Named NCAC Player of the Week

DELTA RHO (DePauw)—After leading the Tigers to an upset over 2nd-ranked Wooster, senior guard Michael Wilkison was selected as the North Coast Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

In DePauw’s 70-60 win over arch-rival Wabash Wilkison notched a game-high 26 points after going 8-11 from the floor and 5-6 from three-point land. He followed that up with another game-high 23 point performance leading the Tigers past the second-ranked Fighting Scots by a score of 78-74.

On the week, Wilkison tallied 49 points, shooting 61.4 percent (14-23) from the floor and 77.4 percent (10-13) from beyond the arc. He also shot 91.7 percent (11-12) from the charity stripe and moved into fourth place on DePauw’s career free throw percentage list shooting 82.8 percent over his career.

Wilkison has now scored double-digits over the last four contests averaging 21.5 points per game.
